To minimize and perhaps eliminate the spread of the coronavirus, follow the CDC guidelines which include:

Social Distancing

Wearing a face mask

Washing Your Hands.

But there is more to the response, and it's psychological and spiritual.  If we're prone to anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive behaviors than we must take other precautions. Specifically, we must not overload our sensory system with constant news about the coronavirus. Sensory includes what we listen to on the radio, watch on the television and talk about with others. Because too much information can trigger stress, panic attacks, and anxiety disorder. No doubt, these are challenging  times.  And so, even  if we've not experienced anxiety, we may find ourselves feeling anxious. The advice is the same, limit, regulate how much you  talk about the coronavirus. Protect your mind.


Another area, we must shore up is our spiritual practice.  How do we bring balance to our lives in this  wearing masks era of viewing a ticker tape of sickness or death on television?

At Àse Yoga, we practice deep breathing, extend our corpse pose, emphasis our restorative practice, relax in yoga Nidra, meditate, and unblock our energy centers. Take care of yourself. Experience Àse Yoga. 

Life Saver

Along  with the Corvid-19, flu season is quickly approaching. Why be sick, if you don't have to.

Start now, preparing your body and mind to survive flu, as well as virus. We forget that people die from the flu. Reportedly at least 36,000 people die  each year from the influenzas.

Some people will get their flu shots, but many will

not. All of us however need to adopt these remedies to counteract the flu and virus season:

-Exercise  regularly

-Sleep well

-Drink tea

-Drink Water

-Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
 (4 to 5 cups daily).

-Reduce your stress response system

-Wash your hands for 20 seconds regularly

-Use your own pen

-Consume at least 1,000-3,000mg of Vitamin C.

-Consume additional Vitamin D3.

Lets stay healthy. Be mindful. 

Protect Yourself




2 Cups red Lentils

1 Medium onion, rough chopped

2 garlic cloves, roughly chopped

I big knob of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

3 Tablespoons of Earth-balance

1 Tablespoons paprika

1 Teaspoon of turmeric

1/2 or less of cayenne

salt to taste

Cook the lentils in a about I inch of water and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. 

In blender., puree the onion, garlic and ginger.

Heat the earth balance over medium flame. Add the paprika, turmeric and cayenne, and fry for 30 seconds. Add onion mixture and fry of 10 minutes until lightly browned.

Put the onion mixture into the lentils and continue to simmers until the lentils are fully pureed. Total time about 40 minutes. Mixture should be thick. Here's to your health. Enjoy.
